Bulk bags (also known as jumbo bags, shipping sacks, big bags and FIBCs) are extremely versatile and can hold a variety of wet and dry materials, including: chemicals, minerals, dyes, resins, detergents, foodstuffs, sugar, salt, nuts, plastics, grain, clay, cement, pharmaceuticals, fertilizers, seed, sand, flour, rice, ground rubber, beans and refractory products. Bulk bags may also be used to divert mudslides, small streams, and to hold waste on oil rigs. In addition, some styles of bulk bags may be filled with sand and used for flood control.

The tremendous growth in bulk bag use in the last three decades has spurred bag specialization. Some bulk bags have become extremely high tech with features customized to meet unique requirements, while others have become simplier and less expensive. FIBC's are a cost effective method of shipping and storing dry bulk products. FIBC's can be designed to fit a variety of uses and users. Sizes vary from 15 cu ft to 95 cu ft. However, bulk bags can be manufactured for smaller or larger capacities.

Full bottom discharge (Allows the bag to empty products that cake or bridge).

Sieve Design (Allows liquid to be release while solids remain)on ports (Allows visual inspection and sampling of product without opening the bag) .
Offset discharge (Allows emptying the bag without elevating it) .

Please reference the chart below to help you with your sizing needs. If you are unsure of your products bulk density you can fill a 1 cubic foot box with your product and weigh it.

To figure the correct bag size, you will need the bulk density of your product as well as how many lbs you will need in your bags. Please use this example below:

Customer wants to put 2000 lbs into a bag.
Product’s bulk density is 50 lbs per cubic foot.
Take lbs (2000) –divided by - bulk density (50) = bag volume (40) cubic foot bag.
Then based on the style of bag that you need – reference chart.
